The Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 III is a good model of a feature-packed compact digital camera, and is one of the best compact cameras available for giving excellent image quality. Compact System Cameras (CSCs) Also known as Mirrorless Interchangeable lens cameras, these cameras can be viewed as a more compact alternative to a DSLR

Canon G1 X versus Sony NEX-5N at base ISO Canon G1 X at ISO 100 Sony NEX-5N at ISO 100 We expected a different result pitting the 16-megapixel NEX-5N against the 14.1-megapixel G1 X, but the G1 X looks sharper overall. The Movie Digest videos are stored by the camera, and at the end of a day's shooting, are automatically stitched together into a single video showing all of the day's clips in sequence

They include a 12.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 processor, rotating LCD display, manual controls, a hot shoe, and the handy Zoom Framing Assist feature that I'll explain later. Full wide-angle (24 mm) Full telephoto (1200 mm) As you can see, the SX50 lets you capture vast landscapes at wide-angle and can also fill the frame with subjects two miles away

Which Digital Camera Should I Buy? - Gift Guide

Mirrorless cameras are similar to DSLRs, in that they offer interchangeable lenses, but ILCs are smaller than DSLRs because they use a mirrorless design. Although colorful camera bodies typically aren't part of the DSLR marketplace, Pentax is offering 120 customizable colors with its K-50 DSLR model (pictured here), giving this camera some appeal for those new to DSLR photography

Bottom line: the Canon is a bit smaller and lighter, cheaper, has a long, long telephoto (not important for me), but a much slower lens, and it would appear noticeably sharper and cleaner image quality. MY ADVICE-Shooting sports, knocking it around- SX50 Remember that they get to that long zoom by using a small sensor, but it does work and the RAW shots are workable

Nikon Coolpix L610: Review

However, there are many better cameras out there, including similarly priced models like the Canon SX230 HS, which also has full PSAM modes to help take beginners further. Compare the Nikon L610 to other cameras in the Face-Off The L610 lens lacks a little consistency at wide-angle but sharpness levels are excellent in the middle of the frame

Nikon Coolpix P510 Review

If you are looking for ultimate quality you are likely to need a Digital SLR, but if you are looking for pictures that look good on a screen or in a reasonably sized print then the Coolpix P510 will certainly give you that. This is followed by a control area that gives you access to selecting the flash mode, exposure compensation, placing the camera in macro mode, the self timer and confirming a setting

The 16 megapixel bridge-style Nikon P510 can also capture full 1080p high-definition movies with stereo sound, has a back illuminated CMOS sensor, 3-inch 921K-dot tiltable LCD screen, built-in GPS, electronic viewfinder and fast 7fps burst shooting. Nikon Coolpix P510 The Nikon Coolpix P510 is a new super-zoom compact camera that features an incredible 42x zoom lens with a massive focal range of 24-1000mm

The difference may only be 1.5mm, as the difference between the two is a step backwards, give or take, but for situations where you're up against a wall, a step backwards isn't possible. View all 11 photos in gallery A number like 42x is quite impressive on its own when talking about zoom, and even more so when you realize that it starts out at a relatively wide-angle 24mm (35mm equivalent) focal length

Nikon Coolpix P510 Review: Its 42x Zoom is a Sight to Behold

  http://www.technobuffalo.com/reviews/nikon-coolpix-p510-review-its-42x-zoom-will-make-you-blush/
The high ISO speeds were nice to have, but without a longer shutter speed, the Nikon Coolpix P510 is not as serious a contender as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 or Canon PowerShot SX40 HS. Easy Panorama mode offered 180 and 360 degree views using the sweep method, meaning all I had to do was hit the shutter button, twirl around in a circle, and a beautiful Panorama shot was made

  http://www.cameradebate.com/2013/canon-rebel-sl1-eos-100d-vs-nikon-d5200-comparison/
The SL1 features a 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor, Digic 5 image processor, 4 fps continuous shooting speed, 3-inch high resolution touch-sensitive screen, Hybrid CMOS AF II,63-zone dual-layer metering system for enhanced light metering accrucaey (each layer is sensitive to different wavelengths of light), 9-point AF system (center point cross-type), new Kids, Food and candlelight scene modes and Full HD video recording. Other features include compatibility with the optional WU-1a wireless adapter, 1080p video recording with stereo sound, 39-point wide-area autofocus system, 5 fps burst, improved and very intuitive user interface, compatible with the new WR-R10 and WR-T10 wireless remote controls, Active D-Lighting and also inherits the 2016 pixel RGB metering sensor from the D7000 I also likes the function button on the left side, which can be set to allow full access to one of 14 available camera settings

Canon T3i (600D) vs Nikon D3200 - HDSLR Camera Comparison

  http://www.cameradebate.com/2012/canon-rebel-t3i-600d-vs-nikon-d3200/
As for the time of writing this article, the 600D is attractive because it features an articulating LCD, when you can find this feature only on the D5100 entry-level HDSLR. For those of you who are debating between the Canon T3i and Nikon D5100, I highly recommend that you spend some time reading my Canon T3i vs Nikon D5100 comparison article

Brdige camera (DSLR like) use small sensor to catchup superzoom, if the sensor is bigger, so the magnification should be reduced, except they make longer zoom barrel and even should make bigger diameter zoom barrel, if necessary. Using BSI tech on the 8MP iPhone 4s meant that it had much better image quality than the 5MP iPhone 4.Of course, they could have gone with 12MP AND BSI..

Nikon Coolpix P510 Review: Digital Photography Review

  http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikon-coolpix-p510
Although cameras like the Canon PowerShot SX40 HS with its 35X wide angle zoom, the 30X Sony Cyber-shot HX200V and the 24X Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 offer impressive versatility, the Nikon P510 provides a meaningful amount of extra 'reach' that makes a difference when shooting distant subjects. Like the P310 and some Samsung models, the P510's battery is charged in-camera (an optional standard battery charger is available) and, at 240 shots per charge, battery life is decent without being outstanding

Canon PowerShot SX40 HS: Review

The only slight let-down is that in very quiet scenes the noise of the zoom lens is picked up in the background, as well as some other slight noises from the camera controls. Apart from getting rid of coloured fringes, the image is also sharper, and the lens (which is lifted straight from the SX30) finally comes into its own

Nikon Coolpix P520 vs. Nikon Coolpix P510 - Sensor Comparison

Larger pixels have the potential to collect more photons, resulting in greater dynamic range, while smaller pixels provide higher resolutions (more detail) for a given sensor size

Canon PowerShot SX50 HS vs Nikon P510 - Our Analysis

Oops Peter (10:56 AM, November 09, 2012) Nikon bias!I don't see how Nikon P510! Clearly someone who gets paid for Nikon wrote the Nikon P510 review. You haven't metioned these cons of the Nikon P510The screen only goes up and down, it does not rotate. The focus is very slow at 42x zoomIt has GPS which pushes the price up for no reason and drains the batteryYou need to update your old dated reviews. All other cameras gave colors distortion, Fuji (not raw) especially.GPS actually was helpful when I was on resort in Cuba and tagged all "wild" travel, snorkeling and scuba locations
