This power button design is very poor in my opinion, and I had to physically take apart the chassis in order to remove some debris and worn plastic in the actual mechanism. When I try to switch on the laptop with only battery connected the battery indicator flashes amber once and does one flash every time I press the power button but nothing else

As an interesting aside to this issue, I found what *appears* to be an icon resembling the wireless strength icon - it's assigned to the MusicMatch program. Scrolling down below the "Current Items" list to "Past Items", I found what *appears* to be the strength bar icon assigned to MusicMatch Track Download Manager" .
My only problem was that the inverter connecter was so tight that it wound up pulling off the cable instead of the board and I had to find a replacement cable (fortunately, a cheap one). My screen is so loose that it just flaps all the way back and has no more resistence, I cant use it unless it prop up the back of the screen, either that or I type with one hand and hold the screen up with the other hand
