LGA by cjg1 Updated Oct 11, 2006 Helpfulness My least favorite of the airports serving this great city.I do find myself here more often than not though as i like the schedule to oakland at 615am via denver. There are 4 buses that can get you into Manhattan, all of them offer a transfer onto the subway (ask the bus driver for a paper transfer when boarding). There is a detail map right at the bus stop

If you have a bit more time to spare and would like to see a little more of Brooklyn, please consider a guided walking tour of our beautiful Borough. If you'd like to see Coney Island, you can hop on the Q subway train and take it out to the end of the line; it's about 40 minutes from Downtown Brooklyn. An alternative is to make a reservation with a limo or "black car" service, which will meet you when you arrive, such as:Dial 7 Limo +1 (212) 777-7777Dave El Chauffeured Transportation +1 (212) 645-4242 Note: these will be much more expensive than a taxi, but the driver will meet you and you won't have to wait in taxi queue. You can use a "car service", as well, but they're tricky enough for New Yorkers to navigate (just search the Yelp reviews for a good one), so we suggest you pass on that option
Parking at LGA -- is it safe? - New York City Forum - TripAdvisor
I parked it on Thursday afternoon and returned to it on Sunday evening and it was just fine as was the Jag next to me and a German engineered vehicle now snugly (too snugly) parked on the other side. Re: Parking at LGA -- is it safe? Feb 15, 2012, 4:46 PM There is a parking structure at the Hampton Inn that is shared with the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel (formerly the Crown Plaza)
Astoria residents were offered 2 extra long blocks of el in their neighborhood in exchange for a train that would take them to the airport in less than 10 minutes, and rejected that offer. Short light rail trains? At the north end curve west to Willets point and on to LGA? At the south end continue onto JFK? Maybe, but given other transportation priorities in the region maybe not
Buses run very frequently in NYC unlike other cities that you might be familiar with where the bus comes once an hour is mainly full of indigent people
