If that's really Apple's position, despite years of trying to build legitimacy as a highly interoperable OS, I'll be going back to Windows forthwith, because I can't live without my peripherals... osx - Is it possible to run Mac OS X in a virtual machine? - Super User
http://superuser.com/questions/904884/is-it-possible-to-run-mac-os-x-in-a-virtual-machine
There are methods to emulate the EFI firmware on Macs which allow for retail versions of Leopard to run on PCs, however I am not sure whether they work within a VM environment. The project community is active but noone is really working on the code anymore, so updates, like Leopard support or Intel versions, will probably never come

Restarting the host computer is not required here. Here is the working Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 in VMware workstation 9 with Windows 7 32 bit host after running unlocker. Even though the utility takes backup which can be replaced later if required, but its good to have a backup copy taken by you.Right click on install.cmd file and select run as administrator option as shown below

You will keep getting an error when attaching the Mountain Lion vmdk stating this machine will not be compatible with VMWare Workstation 6.5 and 7.x and will not allow you to attach the ML vmdk otherwise. Only thing I noticed that you have to do not in the instructions is to upgrade the Mac OS X Lion.vmx file to a VMWare Workstation 8 disk if you are doing this in VMWare Workstation 8

See Setting Up an iOS 7 On-Demand VPN for the details (it's way too much stuff to post via MacOSXHints, as much as I've been a fan of this site for many years). I find that the confirm-faces interface is a faster way to find new faces than the Find Faces feature and I was methodically going through each face album to find new faces this way before I discovered the smart album trick mentioned above

Reply Brandon says: June 22, 2011 at 7:06 pm Are you saying i need more than 1GB of RAM? and if so you can just upgrade that right? Mac OS X 10.9 can be installed from the .dmg created via the script detailed in the second post of this topic as can Mac OS X 10.10 which is only available as an option in Workstation 11 and Player 7, although Mac OS X 10.10 can be installed in Workstation 10 or Player 6 using Mac OS X 10.9 as the "Version". Firstly go to "System Preferences" and select "Energy Saver" and set "Computer sleep:" and "Display sleep:" to Never and also un-tick "Put hard disks to sleep when possible", "Wake for Ethernet network access" and "Allow power button to put the computer to sleep"
