However, as there's is no way to 'prove' your dog's skills or conformation in the ContKC as there is in the AKC with conformation and performance events..., how much are the registration papers really worth? In addition, because the ContKC does accept dogs as purebred and breeding stock based on a picture alone, I find their stud and breeding books more than a little suspect when it comes to record keeping

How Can I get my dog AKC or CKC registered? but there parents aren't registered? can someone help me?
Your dog must be DNA tested to be purebred of an AKC registrable breed, and this is for participating in these events only...Not breeding or anything else. The organization is not reputable, and from what I understand, pretty much any dog can be CKC registered as long as so many attesting witnesses voucher for the dog's 'purebred' status (hence the reason it isn't reputable)
CKC is one of the largest canine registration services in the world and offers its members the opportunity to register their dogs and litters of dogs, educate themselves about various breeds and enter into canine competitions
