One could quibble, I suppose, with my interpretation of the B part beginning in measure 18, where I show the notes as played on a single string (third string second fret to third string open) as opposed to melodic style (fourth string seventh fret to third string open) to achieve the same sequence of notes. Thank you Rod Sterling, one of the coolest guys on earth at the time, wait was he on earth? I dedicate this to my mother who didn't like for me to watch it, too many sleepless nights! p.s

From Guitar to ukulele: How to use your guitar chord knowledge to explore and learn ukulele chords

A moment of doubt As we seen, with a capo at the 5th fret, the guitar and and uke are practically tuned identically! So, if a capoed guitar and uke can are so similar, why even bother ukulele? Why not just play guitar capo 5? A great deal of the ukulele's charm stems from two factors that guitar cannot reproduce: it's sweet, hollow tone, and its reentrant high G. The four strings of the baritone uke are tuned exactly the same as the four high pitched strings of the guitar (that's strings one through four of guitar)

Reply Paul says: September 9, 2005 at 1:24 am I like to add that If you fret a A Major in 5th Position, try to put your thumb more in horizontal position. All I can recommend is to try to roll your finger to the side closest to your thumb, so that the side of your 2nd joint knuckle digs into that 2nd (and 1st) string

I understand how to transpose and how to figure out what chords would be in the song but in Somewhere over the Rainbow how do you know the order to put them in? I know it has to do with progression and one chord goes to another chord. if transposing to the Key of G, what would the E7 transpose to? How do I figure that one? Reply Brett McQueen Hi Waterdog, great question! For seventh chords, the idea is the same

Reply Keith M Johnson Hi Brett..Eduardo made a good point but I have found out that the way it is done now requires me to memorize the chords more than if they were in with the song. Very happy with the way it sounds now, now I just need to remember the lyrics Reply felicity Hiya there Brett, you make the song look sooooo cool, wish i could play as well as you

It is important that you put the capo just behind the fret (the same as you should be doing with your fingers too!) or you will get lots of buzzing sounds. However, you can get a Bm by playing an A minor with the capo on the 2nd fret! Check the other chords and you'll find you can get an E chord by playing a D, and an A chord by playing G
