Without these high frequency adaptations in the ear, using sound as an imaging system (at least five times higher in frequency than we can hear) could never have come about. We even know mechanisms of how something like the hive mind of bees work, such as regulation of the division of labor through various genes and hormones

I know this is a chapter of a longer work, so this strip is presumably part of a longer conversation between these characters, the one in yellow being a creationist. Only when we started using that diaphragm, itself a rather newfangled feature (only, like, 270 million years old or something), to ventilate the lungs did this become lethal

Just as you stated that newer evidence cleared up the gaps in the old well founded and defended theory but still is just another theory that will yet change again...as the evidence unfolds. So as we take this journey of unfolding theories we tend to grow more and more skeptical. Evolution: A Theory in Crisis by Michael Denton; Michael Denton says, "Despite the tremendous increase in geological activity in every corner of the globe and despite the discovery of many strange and hitherto unknown forms, the infinitude of connecting links has still not been discovered and the fossil record is about as discontinuous as it was when Darwin was writing the Origin." A reader of the Michael Denton's book says, "Denton a Molecular Biologist removes all of the supports (if there ever were any) from Darwin's theory of macro-evolution (continuity of life)
44 Reasons Why Evolution Is Just A Fairy Tale For Adults

The fact of the matter is you can do what you want and I can do what I want (free will), but there will be a day that we will all die, inevitable then comes the judgement, you can go your route and see where it takes you and I will take mine, and when that day comes we shall see who is in Paradise and who is not. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper

No scientist has given up on junk DNA and pseudogenes, And I say anybody who tries fit evidence into their already made up conclusion is not a scientist., whatever he or she believes
How scientists taught monkeys the concept of money. Not long after, the first prostitute monkey appeared
http://www.zmescience.com/research/how-scientists-tught-monkeys-the-concept-of-money-not-long-after-the-first-prostitute-monkey-appeared/
It was just as simple as giving a monkey a dollar and see what would happen, which was exactly the case, instead of the dollar, however, a silver disc with a hole in its center was employed a means of currency for the capuchins. Caring for people less fortunate than ourselves despite it not necessarily serving our own selfish needs at the time is a good thing, and interestingly, I note that a lot of Romney supporters are Christian

About the Survey This report is based on telephone interviews conducted March 21-April 8, 2013, among a national sample of 1,983 adults, 18 years of age or older, living in all 50 U.S. A combination of landline and cell random digit dial (RDD) samples were used to reach a representative sample of all adults in the United States who have access to either a landline or cellphone

on a lesser ground, because it's not testable, but we can agree to fullback to it if all other ideas were proven false until another explanation is proven true :-P . A good example of this is Santa Claus, sure people stop believing in it with age but that is only because the parents and community decide it's time for them to learn the truth
The Primates: Humans

National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) has plans to sequence the genomes of marmosets, northern white-cheeked gibbons, orangutans, and gorillas. It has been historically difficult for people to accept that we are in fact just another primate species with African origins and that we differ physically only in degree from some of the others

Humans, by virtue of being able to build fires, construct shelters and produce clothes, would have been able to lose their fur and thereby reduce the numbers of parasites they were carrying without suffering from the cold at night or in colder climates. Scopes Trial
http://www.historynet.com/scopes-trial.htm
After spending the previous Friday impaneling a jury (most members of which turned out to be churchgoing farmers), all parties gathered for the start of the real legal drama on Monday, July 13, 1925. It is prominent for two reasons: the attention paid to the issue of human evolution, and the length of time (more than 40 years) that elapsed from its discovery to its full exposure as a forgery

The Dover School Board decided to introduce the lesson on evolution with a "one minute statement" to students suggesting that evolution was a theory full of holes, that it was not proven, and that there was a viable alternative theory - Intelligent Design (ID), or, as I like to call it, God Did It (GDI).The book starts off detailing the conversations at the original board meetings where the idea of offering an alternative to evolution first came up. An introduction to the John Scopes (Monkey) Trial
http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/scopes/evolut.htm
Bryan claimed that "if evolution wins, Christianity goes." Darrow argued, "Scopes isn't on trial; civilization is on trial." The prosecution, Darrow contended, was "opening the doors for a reign of bigotry equal to anything in the Middle Ages." To the gasps of spectators, Darrow said Bryan was responsible for the "foolish, mischievous and wicked act." Darrow said that the anti-evolution law made the Bible "the yardstick to measure every man's intellect, to measure every man's intelligence, to measure every man's learning." It was classic Darrow, and the press--mostly sympathetic to the defense--loved it. He later explained his decision: "the best time to scotch the snake is when it starts to wiggle." Herbert and Sue Hicks, two local attorneys and friends of Scopes, agreed to prosecute

Ideas, either without basis or based on a few laboratory experiments carried out in extremely simplified systems, have become part of an evolutionary dogma accepted by most of us as part of our training. Why do they have to remind themselves of that? Because otherwise, the facts which are staring them in the face and trying to get their attention might break through

Anyways, do you know how bugs developed flight? I had always considered the fact that several unique genetic paths had developed flight (bats, birds, bugs) to be an indicator that our current understanding of how species change is flawed and that there must be some sort of trigger that we are missing. While the ages reported may be representative of the area they took their sample from, my experience shows that 26 and even 22 is much older than the age that woman started having children in the US
Evolution: Frequently Asked Questions

Human culture is based at least partly on social living and language, although the ability of a species to invent and use language and engage in complex social behaviors has a biological basis. This journey would cross countless other forks and branches along the way and span perhaps more than a billion years of evolution, but it demonstrates that even the most disparate creatures are related to one another -- that all life is interconnected

Some people decide to keep them into their homes as pets, but the most controversial aspect regarding the relationship with humans remains the role that these animals have in research and their use in laboratories. Testing the pet before taking it into your home and making sure that it has been properly vaccinated may be a good idea in being certain that it will not carry any kind of viruses or diseases

Evolution teaches that in the beginning, inanimate matter, through countless combinations and a great deal of time, arrived at the present highly complex forms of life found on the earth. The timeline is demarcated by significant events that drastically transformed life on the planet (like a meteor impact or an ice-age), and after such an event, a new emergence of biodiversity flourished in this new, significantly different environment
