There is a little bit of the cord that is hanging on by a thread, and I have been applying alcohol to the "moist" looking part and she doesn't seem to be annoyed or in pain by me doing so

My little ones took 3 months to heal the only way I can describe it is it looked like a red slug I can't remember what the doctor called it but it is quite common for them to stay that way until even two years when they would operate but I got some fudecin cream and it worked a treat still use it now if it gets red. If i was you, i would keep it dry,(unless its really gross, leave it for a few days to dry out properly) change the babygro's regularly and see your G.P just to set your mind at rest
