There is a simple workaround to avoid the problem: disable the P010 output format in the settings of LAV Video decoder (or ffdshow if you still use that)

Although after some playing with I found that I can capture radio streams, the downside is the songs don't play while this is in progress and it's all saved to one file. I was watching a .flv and "ml.xspf" was left in the application data folder Andy 2008-11-22 11:25 Hey, Amy, go to the VLC website and re-download and re-install version 0.9.6, it seems they've picked up their little problem that was causing your files not to play (I had the same problem, when I intially downloaded the older 0.9.6 install file from filehippo.com instead of getting it from the videolan website), and they've now fixed the problem
