Disable IE Enhanced Security In Windows Server 2012 R2
This enhanced level of security can prevent Web sites from displaying correctly in Internet Explorer and can restrict access to network resources, such as files on Universal Naming Convention (UNC) shared folders. If you want to view a Web site that requires Internet Explorer functionality that has been disabled, you can add the Web site to the inclusion lists in the Local intranet or Trusted sites zones
How to disable USB devices using Group Policy
So far we have created a group policy object, the next step is to link the GPO to the OU containing the computer accounts for which the USB devices are to be blocked. If in an organization we are applying this policy to all the users(including BYOD users) and If the BYOD users use their systems outside the network, will it be possible to use USB even logging with domain account

You need to do some documentation on the reasons why and the cost to down time especially if you get hit by something like Crypto locker, it only takes one person with write permissions on the network and the game is over. how to Disable windows 7 firewall service via command line or register
This article shows how to put that option on the regular (unshifted) context menu, and it provides example program code for adding your own commands to the Win7 Explorer context menu. Any ideas on how to fix the service to run at all times regardless as to who is logged in on the system or if it is just running without a user logged into the system
These steps describe how to move a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) database from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 or Microsoft Windows 2000 to a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2. If a local Administrators account does not exist for the domain controller, restart the computer in Directory Services Restore Mode, and use the administrator account to import the database as described later in this section
windows server 2008 r2 - How do I disable TLS 1.0 without breaking RDP? - Server Fault
I tried to be proactive by disabling TLS 1.0 on our Windows Server 2008 R2 machine, only to find that immediately after reboot I was completely unable to connect to it via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). However our testing has proved this DOES NOT work from the Windows 7 RDP client (version 6.3.9600) when TLS 1.0 is disabled and RDP security option is set to require TLS 1.0
The information contained in the links below act as a quick repository for some of the most common issues we have seen with UAC; this is by no means the complete repository. Blackbaud does not recommend disabling UAC, due to the enhanced security UAC provides; however there are instances when disabling UAC allows systems administrators to troubleshoot issues that would be complicated by having UAC enabled

Disable User Account Control(UAC) For Administrators Only
Is that true???? Yikes! February 19, 2010 Mickey BlueEyes Bless you my son! This (and Vista Ultimate sometimes freezing, particularly on a right-click for up to 2 minutes!) have been the bane of my existence. Is this going to do the trick, or is it totally unrelated to what I want? May 11, 2011 Graham Allen Is this setting for Vista?? I am writing an article myself of UAC and how it works etc
It works by prompting you for permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings that affect other users. Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety (or clicking User Accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking User Accounts
windows server 2008 r2 - How to disable UAC on a domain controller? - Server Fault
How can I access the UI for UAC settings on a domain controller? I know I can use a GPO for this, but I'd prefer to manually configure it on this single server
I am marked as Administrator for the PC by going into the advanced properties view (where admin and guest where disabled to start with and my username is the only 1 marked as active and admin status), plus it constantly asks for my Network Admin account passwords. I think I will be calling them in a min just to bitch for hours while I still sit here and read forum posts and try to solve the issue because the people you talk to have no clue how to remove this Lock
Disable User Account Control (UAC) the Easy Way on Win 7, 8, or 10
Instead of UAC as it is, it should have worked as an improved local policy system, with nicely organised and simply named options for configuration, similar to AD but less obtuse to use. Even in legitimate cases for running a program as an administrator, many found it easier to use an administrator account on their desktop instead of teaching users how to use RunAs (which would prompt for username and password)
