To start a command prompt window with Windows Administrator privileges: On your Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 Desktop, create a shortcut for the command prompt window. If you want central management for the installed Oracle RAC database, then you will have to discover the Oracle RAC database target manually from Grid Control after the installation
I checked my Path and that may be the problem but I am not technical enough to know what to put there so that this 32-bit driver is the first in the list. Did you find a solution? John Paul Cook : 32-bit ODBC on Windows Server 2008 R2
However, there were other preconfigured ones that were not showing up in the ODBC which we thought hinted at either a config file storing previous versions or obviously running the wrong version. John is also a Registered Nurse who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics and is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society
Jorg Klein : SSIS - Connect to Oracle on a 64-bit machine (Updated for SSIS 2008 R2)
I installed all the below software: Sql Server 2012 64bit Enterprise edition installed fully windows server 2008 R2 64bit Visual studio 2010 service Pack 1 Oracle client 32bit Oracle Client 64bit Atunity Oracle driver v2.0 Oracle Rac 11g R2 I installed all of the above software with Admin privileges and restarted my server and everything worked after that. The last problem I know of is in the Oracle client itself, it seems that a connection will never work with the instant client, so always use the full client
SQL Server ODBC Driver
Leveraging the latest TDS protocols, we can communicate directly with remote SQL Server instances; ultimately improving performance and scalability of the solution. This allows the Easysoft ODBC-SQL Server Driver to connect to an instance that is listening on a dynamically assigned port -- the driver will automatically find out the port the instance is currently using
Oracle odbc 10.2.0.1 on Windows server 2008 R2
First of all why we need to upgrade, the default version provided by Oracle doesn't support few of the features which is later version they improved the PDF printing options , Mobile application builder and many more. For example if I need to store a string having more than 4000 characters in length then I cannot store it on a Varchar2 column , till 11g we used to store in a CLOB column
Accessing SQL Server from Oracle with Database Gateway for ODBC (DG4ODBC)
The SQL Server ODBC driver also enables your solution to take advantage of parallel features in SQL Server, increasing the transparency of the integration. If you want to use DG4ODBC with another 64-bit Easysoft ODBC driver, please contact the Easysoft support team.32-bit versions of DG4ODBC require 32-bit ODBC drivers, which you can download from the Easysoft web site.3.0 Install, Configure and Test the ODBC DriverOracle loads the unixODBC driver manager to access the ODBC driver

The basic principle when connecting to databases from a given machine is that 32-bit software will require a 32-bit ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) driver or client and 64-bit software will require a 64-bit ODBC driver or client
Access ODBC Driver for 64 bit Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2008MS Server OSIT Administration 32 bit driver Not working Answer by TomasHelgi Question: Good Afternoon, I have a 32 bit corporate application running on a WIndows 2008 server. Instead of worrying about the hardware and deployment issues around applications, one can focus on building the solution and using the enterprise quality cloud platforms which previously didn't exist or were prohibitively expensive and difficult to use
How do I use 64-bit Java ODBC driver with a Access database on Windows 2008? - Stack Overflow
If you would register ODBC DSN on 32 bits and calling from a 64 bit application (64 bit JVM) you would get an error that DSN source is not found (So for the application to see the ODBC source - the JVM you are running the app should be same architecture as ODBS DSN: both needs to be 64 bits, or both 32 bits). Then I moved the project to a Windows 7 with a Netbeans 7.3 with a 32 bit JDK 6u45 BUT a 64 bit MS Office 2013 so that seems to be the problem, If you have a 32 bit JDK installed then you need a 32bit version of Office (with the proper driver that comes with that Office version)
We recently migrated the app to 64-bit Server 2008 after receiving assurances from the company that it was compatible and running some preliminary tests that showed that the app worked in the 64-bit environment. Can you tell me where specifically you placed your key for the 32 bit driver in the registry, and what strings you used? I will +1 you if you can place a screen shot in your answer
Oracle ODBC Driver
Even if you do not currently need the additional functionality provided by a client add-on, using the Easysoft ODBC-Oracle Driver gives you the option to add it later, should your requirements change. For example, the Oracle Advanced Security option is an Oracle client or server add-on that combines network encryption, database encryption and strong authentication to protect sensitive data stored in Oracle databases
