So I have a Speedlite on my wish list also, but I cannot justify it just yet since I don't use one for wildlife and I don't shoot in low light conditions. SK September 15, 2010 07:41 pm Hi Could you tell me, is the Canon SX 120 a DSLR or not? Can I change the lens on it?? thanks Mark September 7, 2010 01:47 am Vivek, a lot depends on what style of photography you are looking for

Ken Rockwell, whom I usually believe, recommended the Canon SD780 as the Best Small Camera available, then it was replaced within six months of introduction because of several serious drawbacks Rockwell either didn't notice or did not want to notice. I keep being amazed at all the stuff I remember from the middle of the last century.) A 500mm lens is considered to have a focal length of 500 millimeters

Best wishes, Dave February 3, 2009 11:13 pm Margie, I'm not a professional by any stretch, but I think the lens quality is one of the major considerations on 'point and shoots'

Professional 4K equipment can be much better, and much much way more expensive! Most people use the 4K ability of the GH4 like this: - shoot in 4K - be free to edit the video a bit: remove shake, horizontal, crop. Most compact cameras have tiny sensors, with too many pixels, and are therefore not able to produce good quality pixel data, especially in low light situations

14.1-megapixel resolution; 2.7-inch PureColor System LCD 28mm wide-angle lens; 4x optical zoom and Optical Image Stabilizer 720p HD movie shooting capability plus HDMI output Smart AUTO intelligently selects from 22 predefined settings New scene modes such as Miniature Effect and Fisheye Effect; Low Light mode for dimly-lit situations. Point and Shoot Digital Cameras Almost everyone has a digital point-and-shoot camera and this is the type of camera that most backpackers choose to bring to Europe

Right now, it just seems like too much trouble, since it requires additional software to correct image distortion that the camera automatically corrects in JPEG. Also another tip - is subject likely to move? (ie flower in wind) 1.change from fixed focuing on half shutter press to continuous focusing when half pressed (this changes the box from green to blue)

All features are impressive! The iA mode is very cool, every new scene will be pre-autofocused without using the half click! I suggest in AE P mode to preset - 0,66 EV.This set wil be fixed until you change it! psFor crisp sharpness macros i created a C1 preset

what people look for is COMPACT and NO BLUR and GOOD performance UNDER LOWLIGHT, yet with the lx7 people will put the lx7 aside because it is bulky and the competitors anticipate on that. Any else think that would be great?1 upvoteBy my username was already taken (Jul 18, 2012)If you have a 1.4 zoom, why would you downgrade to a fixed focal length 1.4? Makes no sense0 upvotesBy malcolm82 (Jul 18, 2012)28mm F2.8 is the lens i want most for a full frame compact interchangeable lens camera

It covers the same focal range as the LX5 but is two stops one stop faster and stays relatively fast throughout the entire zoom range; that's where both the Canon S100 and Sony RX100 are weak. The move to MOS from CCD brings capabilities like multishot in-camera HDR, up-to-date 1080p video capture, and a motion panorama mode (like Sony's Sweep Panorama )
