An application I am running using remote app behaves differently based on from where the user logged on, it behaves correctly when the user logs on locally (at the server console) and there after from a TS logon but a TS client only logon only causes some features of the application to fail, not the entire application just some features. Looking at the profile of the TS logged on user all folders are yellow, some create a windows folder some do not while the locally (at the server console) logged on user has virtual folders and the windows folder

One feature that's especially useful for testing purposes is undo disks, which gives you the option to run a virtual machine without committing the changes to the virtual hard drive. One excellent feature (which alone makes it worth installing) is the screen capture component, which is easy to use and yields high quality videos that can be immediately opened in Expression Encoder for editing and exporting

The nicest thing about this utility is that it allows you to create libraries outside of the default library location by specifying a path, something that the other utility cannot do
How can I to free up drive space from the Windows installer folder without killing Windows 8.1? - Super User
http://superuser.com/questions/707767/how-can-i-to-free-up-drive-space-from-the-windows-installer-folder-without-killi
I recommend you use the Move action, and move the orphaned patches to external storage, just to be safe PatchCleaner @ HomeDev Known Issues (full details on website) Adboe Reader can fail to update after running PatchCleaner. Is there a way to clean up that folder without killing Windows 8.1? The way Microsoft wants to tuck away the installers on the OS partition doesn't make any sense (or they should have spent some more time coming up with a more elegant solution)
Implementing Folder Redirection with Group Policy
http://www.tech-faq.com/implementing-folder-redirection-using-group-policy.html
The situations in which users should enable folder redirection for the different types of system folders are summarized below: Redirect the My Documents folder to allow access to the same documents from any computer on the network. Enter the path to which the folder should be redirected if the Create A Folder For Each User Under The Root Path option was selected or the Redirect To The Following Location option in Step 7

Note: Print Server Properties can be accessed on 2008 and earlier by going into Printers and Faxes or Control Panel : Printers, right-click an empty area where the print queues are listed. Hyper-V and failover clustering can be used together to make a virtual machine that is highly available, thereby minimizing disruptions and interruptions to clients

How to configure Roaming Profiles and Folder Redirection

Even if your users are in the habit of logging off at the end of the day this is a setting you should consider turning on to ensure that the users settings are always being backed up as failures can happen at any time. Therefore I recommend the per user roaming profile configuration method, which is made much easier to do with the multiple user attribute update option you get with the newer version of Active Directory Users and Computers
http://superuser.com/questions/30848/will-making-a-network-folder-always-available-offline-increase-file-access-spe
The reason I wonder is so I can work with files from a slow network share more quickly, without having to deal with copying them down and making sure everything gets synced back up later by hand. if i read this correctly, the user will be working with a local copy and the folder will be synced (automatically or manually) when the network connection is available
windows 7 - Changing Network Path of Offline Files - Server Fault
http://serverfault.com/questions/397765/changing-network-path-of-offline-files
The script would get an error saying the new name already existed, probably because CSC seems to cache the names of all other folders in the same location as any cached folders. You could probably condense the script down into just a couple of lines (and add the necessary restart to make the rename actually happen) for your purposes

Do you run it with just folder redirection and no offline folders? I did it that way in the XP days and liked it, but figured the Offline folders would be a benefit but they never work as expected. Any recommendation? Now what do you do for laptop users if you only do Folder Redirection? Normally I could care less about it, but my users jump from computer to computer on a daily basis so I really want to get this down where it is working for them, but at the same time is working for me and I'm not dealing with issues
Disappearing Folder Redirection Issues with Windows 7
http://www.grouppolicy.biz/2013/03/disappearing-folder-redirection-issues-with-windows-7/
If you have folder redirection enable, it is (in my opinion) MANDATORY to enable the Verify old and new Folder Redirection targets point to the same share before redirecting option to prevent the possibility of losing user data.
