While all rated seats are safe, they do differ in their ease of use in four basic categories: evaluation of instructions, vehicle installation features, evaluation of labels, and securing the child. The American Academy of Pediatricians recommends that children be rear facing until age 2 or until they reach the maximum rear facing height and weight rating for their seat and that child stays harnessed as long as possible

There are a couple of potential drawbacks in terms of ease-of-use, but overall the rear-facing Britax BOB B-Safe is a great choice to keep your infant safe. It is a bit costly, but compared to other brands and options I feel it is quite affordable when you consider how long you will be able to use it with one child (up to 100 lbs.).   http://blog.gracobaby.com/2010/02/11/car-seats-have-expiration-dates-too/
Everything I have read about expiry has to do mosly with a product being USED beyond its expiry, and more worrisome when looking at getting a used car seat. WHY do the seats expire after 6 years? *BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OUT OF PLASTIC.* After a period of time the plastic degrades, largely due to fluctuating temperatures, and the seat becomes brittle

Graco SnugRide Classic Connect 30 Infant Car Seat - Metropolis

The newborn insert(head rest) fit for a little while, my baby is 9 weeks and it's too tight now, also the plastic smell is a turn off (it leaves it on the baby's head). Everything is so noisy too, the clicks of the buckles, adjusting the handle bar and clicking it into the car ALWAYS wakes her up if I'm lucky enough for her to be sleeping

We had bought the click connect snugride 35 but immediately returned it because it you had to adjust the seatbelt harness from the back (really??) and the canopy was difficult to use. The stylish stroller's one-second, one-hand fold makes it easy to bring with you at a moment's notice and it's self-standing for added on-the-go convenience

Graco Junior Baby Car Seat BASE - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Baby

After a few weeks this becomes less of a problem as your baby holds their head better but in the mean time you may need to put something else around the baby's head to support it. The carseat also feels really unstable because the load leg just lifts off the floor and allows it to flop towards the rear of the car if you pull on the seat - which surely it would do in the event of a crash

If you have any concerns about your own health or the health of your child, you should always consult with a physician or other healthcare professional. We gave it to someone in need last year when it had 11 months left before it expired (my son was ready for a backless booster anyway.) I just messaged the person I gave it to in order to make sure she actually replaced it as it was expired, and she loved the seat so much that she replaced it with the same one but in pink. I'm done having kids, but if for whatever reason I need a new seat I would buy another like this (or likely the newer version that rear faces.)I purchased this seat in early 2009 for my then 2 year old son, it was his first forward facing seat

Someone will be along shortly with pictures, I'm sure Yeah, I was standing in the garage when he installed the thing and he knelt on the base and really cranked on that strap. I did a quick forum search and didn't immediately find anything and I honestly don't have time to scan too far back right now because I'm trying to install my new convertible carseat before my kiddo wakes up from his nap

Either pull it all the way out and it will slowly click back in at the retractor to lock itself, or it will lock at the latch plate part of the seat belt. (trust me, I had a crash with a snugride installed with the seatbelt and no base ) I have never had to use a rolled towel or pool noodle with my infant seats, once they are tightened like they need to be they've always held their angle
