Asus F8 key ... over Windows 8 Safe Mode?
Basically since Asus took F8 first, you'll go into their boot device selection screen (at least on the Z77 boards we're using) then when you select the correct boot drive, you immediately have to start spamming that F8 again. F8 does as suggested here bring up the 'Select boot device', but for me it would never go to the Advanced Boot menu after - no matter how quickly I pressed F8.
